- Chondola Supervisor
Job Description
Chondola supervisors are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Chondola and oversee the performance of the Lift Operating staff. Chondola supervisors are also responsible for strict adherence to all standard operating procedures, which includes the completion of open/close checklists and all other lift documentation. Providing a safe and positive guest experience is the highest priority. In addition, Chondola supervisors also directly monitor attendance and labor to ensure costs fall within budgetary guidelines under the direction of the Guest Services Manager.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Ensures the safe and efficient operation of the lift at all times
· Upholds strict adherence to all SOPs
· Assists in scheduling of lift operators
· Manages staff to ensure employee appearance and conduct standards
· Coaches Lift Operations staff to provide a courteous, friendly, helpful Safety and Guest oriented experience
· Observes, Coaches, and Counsels lift operations staff on Lift Operations Service and Safety Guidelines
· Ensuring that any continued performance issues are elevated to the Guest Services Manager
· Creates an engaging, team-oriented atmosphere while ensuring guest and employee safety procedures
· Works cooperatively with peers, departments, interdepartmental contacts and vendors
· Ensures that the documentation of checklists, employee and guest incidents, witness statements etc. are completed, legible, timely, and provided to the appropriate member of leadership

- Guest Services Supervisor
The individual in this position supervises all Guest Services Agents, ensuring that they accurately and efficiently process ticket sales, promote and clearly explain Anakeesta’s activities to guests, help direct guests, and are available to answer any questions guests may have. Areas of oversight for Guest Services operations are the Parkway Admissions Booth, the In-Park Guest Services position, the Call-Center Guest Services position, the Information Kiosk position, & the Turnstile Attendant position.
Job Duties
The Guest Services Supervisor trains and supervises employees to perform the following tasks:
- Ensure ALL guests receive friendly and professional guest service that enriches their experience at Anakeesta

Lift Operators hold some of the most important responsibilities. They ensure the safety of every single guest on the mountain as well as the guests access to the park. The Chondola(Chair and Gondola) lift is the lifeblood of Anakeesta! Lift operators are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and all types of weather conditions. - Anakeesta’s Lift Operators oversee many aspects of Lift Operations and serve not only as an operator, but as an attendant under the Division of Guest Services. Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
- The safe and efficient loading and unloading of all guests who board the Chondola
- Guide guests through the loading and unloading process
- Greet and engage every guest boarding the Chondola with a friendly,inviting and informative attitude in order to provide a unique and memorable experience

- Ticketing Agent
Job Description
The Ticketing Agent is the first point of contact with our guests and represents our image to the public. They are our ambassadors of adventure, entertainment, magic, and excitement, providing a memorable representation of the experiences to be had at Anakeesta. The Ticketing Agent reports directly to the Guest Services Supervisor and the Guest Services Manager.
Job Duties
- Provide guest service that exceeds expectations
- Must be knowledgeable of all activities, able to assist guests in selecting the most appropriate activities taking into consideration their family size, ages, and length of stay
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Conduct smooth transactions through Anakeesta’s POS (Point of Sale) systems
- General admission tickets, zip-line tickets, vouchers, online admission ticket purchases, online zipline adventure purchases, Annual Passes, special events, etc.
- Maintains perfect cash control, while dealing with high guest volume and distracting conditions
- Ability to provide low level resolution regarding guest issues and escalate to the Guest Services Supervisor or Guest Services Manager, when appropriate
- Respond to guest inquiries and provide directions to specific areas, information regarding special events, operating hours, etc.
- Understand role in inclement weather situations
- For example, provide ponchos in the event rain is present or imminent
- Maintain cleanliness of working area as well as the surrounding Parkway; this includes picking up debris left by guests (empty cups, napkins, brochures, etc.)

- Utility position
The Anakeesta Dining Support Staff (Utility) Position will be responsible for ensuring that the whole restaurant is clean and presentable for dining guests and non-guest areas as well. The utility position encompasses multiple areas of the mountain dining such as busing, dish washing, running food, and cleaning.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Line Cook/Prep Cook
We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for the menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. - Retail Receiving Associate
The Receiving Associate assists with all functions related inventory control. This role will include to the input, receipt and processing of retail merchandise entering and leaving the building as well as the upkeep of merchandise within the stores and stockrooms. JOB DUTIES
- Learn and develop knowledge of all the products that we have in inventory.
- Learn and use the Point of Sales computerized system for all transactions, inventory, ordering, reconciliation.
- Do stocking and replenishment of all products, inventory of all items.
- Check invoices against orders to verify that the correct items are received.
- Work in a professional manner and always make a professional presentation in both dress and mannerisms.

Job Description
A Landscape Worker here at Anakeesta is responsible for keeping the grounds in pristine condition and works with an exceptional team of professional landscape personnel. Over seventy acres requires continuous attention as we are open seven days a week and our personnel in this department perform their responsibilities early in the day before our guests arrive.
JOB DUTIES:
- Prepares planting beds, places flowers and bulbs with fertilizer as directed.
- Operates vehicles and power equipment, such as mowers, snow blowers, chain saws, weed eater, pressure cleaner, driving Kawasaki Mule, gator, and truck.
- Performs pruning, tree and shrub trimming.
- Maintain and repair tools, equipment, or structures, greenhouses, fences and benches
- Uses shovel to dig as necessary to remove or plant flowers, shrubs, trees, etc.
- Trims trees and removes debris as necessary.
- Waters plants prepares and replaces irrigation system as required, including sprinkler heads, and broken pipes.
- Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.
- Provides proper care of walkways, drive areas, patio areas, and trails including the walkways and the canopy walk.
- Works outside in extreme conditions and removes snow with shovels, and blower.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Landscape work for at least two years in outdoors, nursery, tree farm, or other areas of planting pruning, etc.

Job Description
An individual working in Custodial Services is responsible for maintaining bathrooms, offices and other facilities to company established standards.
JOB DUTIES:
- Prepares cart with appropriate cleaning supplies including, mops, sponges, disinfectants, as necessary to clean and sanitize each station.
- Empties trash cans, picks up all paper and other items which are on the floor.
- Restocks toilet paper, paper towels, soap dispenser, and wipes down counter tops, wall tiles and mops floor.
- Reorders
- Cleans toilets by wiping down top, seat and puts sanitation and deodorizers in toilet bowls, if necessary plunges toilet to insure unclogged and free flowing flushes.
- Checks scent aerator and replaces if necessary or replaces batteries.
- Cleans offices by vacuuming floors, carpets, and sweeping, dusts all desks, tables, lamps, etc.
- Mops floors, and if necessary adds floor shining polish to get an excellent finish
- Removes gum and other materials that are stuck on the floor.
- Removes all trash bags and replaces with new bags and deodorizes trash can.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires heavy lifting up to 50 lbs., moving carts, tossing trash into dumpsters overhead. Carrying buckets, mops, to different levels on steps.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Worked as a custodial work in office buildings, hotels, motels or other establishments.
- Knowledge of chemicals and cleaning supplies.

- Park Ambassador
Job Description
The Anakeesta Ambassador is the first point of contact with our guests, assuring them a positive and remarkable memory of their visit with us by making them feel comfortable and informed of all the experiences available here at Anakeesta. Guiding them to the Magic in the mountains. The Ambassador reports directly to the Ambassador Supervisor and the Guest Service Manager.
Job Duties:
- Provide guest service that exceeds expectations
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Must enjoy speaking with guests to address any questions
- Respond to guest inquiries and provide directions to specific areas, information regarding special events, operating hours, etc.
- Must be well informed of all the activities, locations, and experiences that are available
- Must be will informed of our pricing for both window and online purchases
- Must be able to utilize a mobile device to research guest questions and help them make online purchases
- Must be able to cross train with the ticket sales staff on Anakeesta’s Point of Sale (POS) systems maintaining perfect cash control, while dealing with high guest volume and distracting conditions
- Ability to provide low level resolution regarding guest issues and escalate to the Ambassador Supervisor or Guest Service Supervisor or Guest Service Manager when appropriate
- Must be able to recognize and help assist with any congestion in our line queues at both top and bottom of the park
- Must have knowledge of Anakeesta’s policies (pet policy, lost and found, ADA, etc.)
- Must be well informed of other activities in the Gatlinburg area
- Understand the role in inclement weather situations. For example, provide ponchos in the event rain is present or imminent
- Maintain cleanliness of working area as well as the surrounding Parkway and the park in general; this includes picking up debris left by guests (empty cups, napkins, brochures, etc.)
- Communicate with other team members to ensure up-to-date information is always provided to guests
- Must be able to communicate via a radio to provide and gather information that may be needed for our guests and the operation of the park
- Ensures Brochure racks are stocked with Anakeesta Brochures, and communicates to the Ambassador Supervisor or the Guest Service Manager when more are needed
- Communicate with supervisors and managers regularly to maintain up-to-date– information regarding park operations relevant to roles and responsibilities
- Must promote safety within the park for both guests and staff
- Maintain a well-groomed and neat appearance while present at Anakeesta with the mindset that you are the ambassador of Anakeesta and Gatlinburg. Always arrive to work, in your department’s uniform, including your name badge
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as well as a flexible work schedule
- Must be a TEAM player working with others – Together Everyone Achieves More
- Other duties as assigned

The Ambassador at Anakeesta operates in a variety of environments. This offers our Ambassador team members variety in their day-to-day environment. Areas of responsibility for the Anakeesta’s Ambassadors include:
- Parkway
- Parkway Admissions
- Park Information Kiosk
- In-Park Information
- Both top and bottom of the park
Physical Requirements
- Exposure to extreme temperatures and weather should be expected as work will occur outdoors
- Ability to stand/sit in relevant operational areas for various shifts
- Ability to individually lift 35 lbs.
